BLD -Baby loves Disco

It's the time to disco........
The dance floor....

Playing around.......

On the dance floor with Mom...oh there were bubbles everywhere

My parents took me clubbing to the avalon nightclub but 1 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a midday soiree specifically for the Mommy-and-me . There was a dance floor, strobe lights, bubbles, real djs blending classic disco tunes from the 70s & 80s, baskets of scarves and egg-shakers, a chill-out room with tents, books and puzzles. I had a complete blast!

Picnic

With Dad and on merry go round with Mom...
Gym time...

Lets make some bubbles...

Story time......Dad's enjoying it more than me

Funky hats..

Face Painting

Stilt walker & Story time

We went to the dads annual office picnic. This year they had a separate section for kids and the theme was circus circus. There were stilt walkers, clowns and balloon artists, science lab for kids, live story and music time, bubble making, funky caps, face painting, merry go round, a special gymnastics area and lots of jumpers!! They had ice cream stands every where !! I had lot of fun. It was a wonderful picnic in the park or rather circus in the park.

Waddles like a penguin

Arjun walking around and playing with Daddy

I took my first few steps before my 1st birthday but I could walk like a penguin only when I was 13 months old.

Mundan

Ganju Patel....
Round as these balloons....

I am not at all happy mama....

Mundan the head shaving ceremony is a Hindu sacrement, or sanskar. In Hindu tradition, the hair from birth is associated with undesirable traits from past lives. Thus at the time of the mundan, the child s head is shaven to signify freedom from the past and moving into the future.
My mundan ceremony was performed a week before our trip back to US. Here are some of my post mundan pics. I cried through the ceremony while my dad held me tight and mom was hiding behind my Nani as she couldn't see me like that. The ceremony was video tapped but we don't have a copy as my mom refuses to watch and keep it.

My favorite movie right now

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang- I can watch it amptine times and not get tired. I just love the music and my favorite song in the movie is doll on a music box. My mom watched it as a kid and now I am enjoying it. An unsung classic

Dadi Ji

My dadi ji

Some people may not know this but she was pro card player
Dadi visited my parents in Bangalore

I want to start my blog with a post on a very special person 'my Dadi ji'. I have not met her but my parents tell me that she was one of the most sweetest, pure hearted & fun person. She really loved Dad and spent hours in the kitchen to make special gajjar ka Halwa for him. Even though I missed meeting her by exactly 1 yr and 3 days but my mom says that she is always watching over me.
