It was once again time for googleween. This year kids had their party on a separate day. There were clowns, balloon artists, face painting, live music and various activities for kids. There were scarecrows and a pumpkin patch for the kids to select their pumpkin for decorating. There were bins full of very ugly looking candies all around the park. There were snake -rats-eyeball-worm candies.

Visit to the neighbourhood pumpkin patch

Mini house for chota baby......
We went to the neighbourhood pumpkin patch. The best thing about the trip was I got to go there in the night. There were lots of jumphouses. One of the dinosaurs jumphouse collapsed on us. We don;t have a picture of it as my mom froze for a second and cldn;t take a picture. I had fun running around the patch. My mom gave me a ride in a wheelbarrow. The outing came to an end with my dad scaring me with a really yucky looking scary mask.
Kanjak..
Babies enjoying eating halwa puri.....
Mom had a small ceremony at home called kanjak and she invited few of my friends. Kanjak is done on the 8th day of the navratri festival. Little girls are invited over and given traditional halwa puri and chana along with some gifts. Back in India as a kid my mom too along with her sisters used to go for kanjaks. This was the first time she had kanjaks and it made her all nostalgic....

Dandiya
The festival season starts with Dandiya. Dandiya is the dance you do during the navratris in the honor of goddess Durga. You dance in circles on beaty music and at times you use colorful sticks. Vedika's mom Tina aunty had arranged a dandiya playdate for the babies. Since I love music I had a great time doing the Garba. I went out with my mom, dad and their and my friends to downtown to play dandiya. This time it was in a very big hall which was filled with so manyyyyy people. Even Sanika had come there with her parents.I enjoyed my first dandiya experience. These days I go around the house banging pencils instead of dandiya sticks and singing ting ting ting.....
A day at children's discovery museum

The waterways....playing with water and lots of colorful plastic balls....
My parents took me to CDM - children's discovery museum. We spent a lot of time playing in the 'wonder cabinet'. It had a Woodland Puppet Forest, Giant Dragon, Sand Science Laboratory, Crawl-Through Tunnel, Child-Sized Kaleidoscope, art studio. We had fun time making bubbles of every size and kind in the bubbalogna. There was an area dedicated to world of circles but I had most fun in the waterways area where there were many colorful plastic balls and Bell Fountain, Vortex Tank, Laminar Jet, Current Channel, and Ballcano to play with.
Disco playdate

I had a disco playdate at my place. I invited all my buddies. My mom and I had arranged for some cool dance music but it turned out that my friends were more interested in my toys rather than in dancing. We had bling bling necklaces , macaras and some funky glasses for the playdate. I had fun dancing and playing with my friends.

Happy Hollow

Not a big zoo, but still it has a small and interesting collection of animals, birds, and a snake or two. In the zoo there was a the Pygmy Goat pen where you can enter and feed the hungry goats. There were lemurs, Dwarf Zebu, the Miniature Horse, Sicilian Dwarf Donkey, Alpaca, Meerkats and the acrobatic Black-Capped Capuchin Monkey. Happy Hollow Zoo is also home to a couple of tropical birds. The zoo has an attach park area where it has many rides and picnic tables. The best feature of the park is a small puppet theater. I enjoyed watching a jungle puppet show. It was a wonderful day well spent.

Playdate with Rohan
Ganesh Chaturthi
We celebrated Ganesh chaturthi at Usha aunty's place. She had invited all the kids at her place for a special playdate. Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most popular of Hindu festivals. This is the birthday of Lord Ganesha. All us did a little puja and then Usha aunty gave everyone some prasad. Mom had got special tiny besan laddos for all the kids.
Josh
Shurbhi bua visited us once she was back from India. I really wanted to play with Josh but he didn't :(..He had got his scooter along and this was the first time I was seeing one. He was nice enough to give me a ride and I enjoyed it so much that I decided not to get off it. It took my parents some time to convince me that they will buy me one the next day...its been months and I still don't have a scooter and its still me fav. thing.....so those who are reading remember that its on my wish list for christmas :)
Playdate at Akhil's
Aruna aunty, Akhil's mom had arranged a playdate. She gave us some colored paper and lots of alphabets and shapes to stick onto the paper to make our own little craft. I don't know anything about sticking but I made better use of them by chewing them....I had fun chewing them and I kept my mom on her toes as she spent her entire evening taking them out of my mouth. Btw, I had fun time sliding on them too. I enjoyed ransacking Akhil's room for toys and had good time riding his motorbike :).Aruna aunty had made some delicious snacks too for all of us.
